---|---|
School: | Necromancy |
Spell Level: | Clr 7, DarkA 7, FvS 7, Sor/Wiz 7 |
Components: | VerbalVerbal: A verbal component is a spoken incantation. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot act or speak. Certain rare spells, such as Silence Creature, may temporarily disable spells that require verbal components., SomaticSomatic: A somatic component is a measured and precise movement of the hand. You cannot cast spells that require this component if you cannot move causing arcane spell failure resulting in a ruined spell. Spells without a somatic component may be used with disregard to Arcane Spell Failure chance. Note - that characters make the same arm gestures for most spells in DDO, so you can't tell which spells require this component by watching your character's animations., MaterialMaterial: A material component is one or more physical substances or objects that are annihilated by the spell energies in the casting process. You must have the required items in your inventory. If you run out of the components, the game will not allow you to cast the spell and will instead inform you of what component is missing. The metamagic feat Eschew Materials and some enhancements in Draconic Incarnation can remove this restriction. (Sprinkle of Holy Water and Diamonds/Powdered Ruby) |

Description
You create a greenish symbol of power in the air, and it's activated by an enemy who comes into range of it, weakening all nearby enemies by inflicting a 3d6 penalty to Strength. Each enemy can make a Fortitude save to negate the effect. The symbol dissolves 20 seconds after being triggered, or in 5 minutes otherwise.
Note: the above duration is for the actual persistent symbol itself. The debuff the symbol inflicts has a different duration, which is permanent for monsters, and an unknown duration for players (around 1-9 minutes).
The weakening can be removed by resting, or by a wand, potion, spell or scroll of Lesser Restoration or higher.
Bug: Currently the debuff will be removed the moment a creature moves out of the symbol. This is slated to be fixed very soon. needs verification
Wizard Spell inscription : Requires Level VII Inscription Materials.
