Q. Do ranged weapons benefit from Imp Crit - Piercing?

No. Even if it did, it wouldn't stack with "Improved Critical: Ranged" - which is what you should be taking.

It does. What did you test? However, Swashbuckling crit expansion does not stack with other competence bonuses, see Threat_range#Ways_to_increase_threat_range --Cru121 (Contributions • Message) 13:04, August 5, 2014 (EDT)

Great Crossbow

The benefit for Great Crossbow is supposed to be +3 to the critical range, but once you take the Feat it claims that it is only +2.[1] Since it does not update the weapon view it is difficult to determine whether the +3 or the +2 figure is accurate, since the combat log has such a short buffer and catching a critical hit live whilst also noting the number rolled is challenging in the midst of combat.
