Patron pages need an update. Some have incorrect favor totals, some don't have all the NPC members of the faction, some are missing their favor reward info (and instead point to the Favor page, which is quite large) and some need their quests updated.
I am of the belief that -given our small wiki editing community compared to wikipedia- the location of information should not be duplicated unless necessary. What I mean by that is that all the info about the quests should be in the quest page and any other page that wants to display that information should get it dynamically. With that in mind, I usually don't update a page unless I know it's going to stay up to date and that's exactly the case with patron pages.
What I propose has multiple steps:
- Agree that a template called
{{Patron}}should be made and used in every patron page. This template will display the Members of that faction (getting them dynamically from{{NPC}}), the favor tiers (name, favor mark, reward) in a way that they can be used by the Favor page and the quests (getting them dynamically from{{Quest}}or{{Challenge}}). - Right now, the faction members are displayed with a linked name, possible location and some description. I have in mind the list of all locations and the description from the NPC's page. To do that, the locations and the description need to be made short and usable (can't transclude a huge photo with a list of items sold). On another note, some NPCs are listed under 2 factions because they bestow quests that give favor for 2 factions. I don't think that's correct. An Argonnessen NPC that bestows a quest that favors the Free Agents doesn't mean the NPC is a Free Agent. I'd like to delete the 2nd affiliation from those NPC pages.
- The only issue with the favor tiers is the display. All the information should be there broken in pieces (so only part of it can be used by the Favor page). Should the favor mails be collapsed? How should vendor lists be displayed? All display questions.
- I've mostly got the quest list issue figured out, since I've been working on it for months now. I've already made the template to dynamically fetch the patron quests and all that remains is to figure out how to do challenges.
- Should the headers be level 2 or level 3?
I thought I should share my thoughts in case someone has ideas or corrections.

Patron template is complete and I think I tackled all the above issues. I don't know, I haven't gotten any feedback. The template {{Patron}} has been applied to Agents of Argonnessen and I'm planning to apply it to the other patrons when I fix their NPC members so they will display correctly. If you don't like some details of the template (perhaps the collapsed table?) or want new things to be added (perhaps the patron symbol?), feel free to say so or just directly edit the template.
