Deleting/Moving[edit]

Hey, Borror0, thanks for your advice; I'll implement it right away.

I have another area that I could use your help with: About the pages with the incorrect case; I do not have permission to delete the pages I created and when I use the Move feature, I end up with a redirect.

If I fix all of the pages with capitalization errors, can I make a list for you (or another admin) to delete? I have noticed many other pages with capitals after the first letter and I was planning to fix those as well.

So, should I Move the page, and then delete the redirect?

Also, when it creates the redirect, does it change the code of the Moved from page to the redirect code and then put the moved code into the new page name?

Oh, and I'd like to tackle the excessive double-redirects problem, but I'm not sure how to tackle that. Is the only option to delete the middle direct and correct the front end of the redirect? Sort of like reassigning pointers to the end of the list and removing the middle node. =)

Redirects[edit]

I saw your edit on Sef's talk page.

Let me answer a few of your questions:

  • To create a redirect, write: #redirect [[page_you_want_to_redirect_to]]
  • If you want to redirect to a page's header, write: #redirect [[page_you_want_to_redirect_to#name_of_the_section]]
  • Articles are case-sensitive except the first letter..
    • Preferably, try to avoid creating too many redirects and instead edit the pages that link to the wrong page. In this case, there is no good reason that [[acid spells]] is written [[acid Spells]][. It would always be improper grammar, so it's best to edit the page instead.
  • Forget to sign (type ~~~~ to get an automatic signature) when you comment on talk pages. Makes conversations easier to follow.

I hope this helps. --Borror0 00:32, April 28, 2010 (EDT)

Spell pages clean up crew[edit]

Hi, folks. I'd like to take up the task of cleaning up the Spell Pages as I have always played a Wizard or Cleric in PnP so I know what information is necessary/useful to casters and I can even offer advice/tactics for spell use.

The request to "clean up spell pages" is a bit vague, however. Could someone mention what would be specific corrections that are needed?

Things I have noticed that need care are:

  • Addition to spell descriptors category
  • Addition to spell level category
  • Complete overhaul to add the Favored Soul class along with Cleric (I realize this will be required again when they implement the Druid class)

Anyway; let me know what needs to be done and I'll get cracking.
