Loot Level for dropping Tomes[edit]

The chart in the Ability_tome#Drop_locations subsection stated (until just now, when I edited it) that +1 Tomes drop in "Loot Level 8-14". As a Premium player, I've done a LOT of 100 favor runs (Korthos + Harbor, Lvl 1 & 2 quests, = Loot Level 4 max (5 on a bonus weekend)) - and I know, for a fact, that I've found a +1 Tome in the pack of the runner at the end of a couple of those. It's (very!) rare, but it has happened - a +1 Tome in the pack of a new character that has never seen anything beyond the Harbor. (And I want to say that +2 Tomes drop (rarely) in mid-heroics, earlier than Quest Level 13, but not ~as~ sure about that.) So... where did these Loot Level values derive from? I've changed the one for +1 Tomes - do the others (still) hold true? Do +3 Tomes ~never~ drop in Heroics? C-Hound (ContribsMessage) 21:03, September 17, 2019 (EDT)

Topic Naming[edit]

Should this be renamed "Ability Tome" (see case) so it shows up in the Tome disambiguation page? Nom (ContribsMessage) 22:01, September 8, 2020 (EDT)

  • It is already present in the disambiguation page. However, it is last when it probably should be first. Faltout (ContribsMessage) 23:18, September 8, 2020 (EDT)
  • Oops, my bad. I didn't notice it was added manually. In that case, the disambiguation template is in the wrong (not surprising given the admin that made the changes) because the naming convention is to have the regular words in lower case. Faltout (ContribsMessage) 23:23, September 8, 2020 (EDT)
  • It already showed up int the Tome DAB page, so it doesn't need to be renamed for that purpose. If you want it first, that can also be accomplished (as I have done)... The template is not wrong - it was used as intended (be weary of personal attacks, they won't be tolerated). DDOstream (ContribsMessage) 10:19, September 9, 2020 (EDT)
  • What is the naming convention? The page is called "Ability tome" but the very first sentence refers to it as an "Ability Tome". Also "Upgrade Tome" in the text and in the Dev comments. Nom (ContribsMessage) 12:57, September 9, 2020 (EDT)
    • DDO:Naming policy: `Most simply, this wiki uses "sentence case" rules for naming pages and files; that is, only the first word is capitalized, except for proper nouns and other words which are generally capitalized by a more specific rule.` Since it's not the name of a specific in game item, it uses sentence case. The use in the prose is mostly copy/paste from official dev quotes/comments where-as devs tend to use more capitalization as emphasis.  👟 ShoeMaker (Contribs • Message) 👟 15:15, September 9, 2020 (EDT)
