If you are experiencing what some folks are describing as an "endless loop" error when attempting to launch the DDO game client, then unfortunately, a complete reinstall may be necessary. One thing to try prior to doing that is to make sure the DDO game client is removed from your task bar, then restart the computer, and attempt to launch the DDO client again

i think i got caught in this. TurbineEvoker.exe and TurbineLauncher.exe endlessly showing up on my taskmaneger (not taskbar, damn it, you noob, Cordvan!) complete reinstall? wow.

i mean, im going to bed anyway but if things get worse, put up that ugly bug notice thing on the toppage. this is a serious one, which can do harm on your entire system and network.

things should not be that dramatic, if you copy turbineinvoker.exe from your <ddo>\Backup to your <ddo> directory, you bypass this loop and I think that in this way you can also avoid the reinstall.

Just wanted to say thanks for this advice. I had the same problem and this helped. It would've been a pain to have to reinstall... Thanks a lot :-)
