Tips and Misc

• The Traveler has selected the Blood of Vol as another potential ally. There's just one problem - the Blood of Vol, by dint of their "power within" philosophy, are rather anti-god, and are going to take a good deal of persuading if they're going to ally with one directly. You head into one of the Blood's semi-illegal Sharn bases to converse with its mysterious figurehead, Lady Illmarrow - or Lady Vol, as she reveals herself to be when the Hidden Hand storm the place.
• Lady Vol isn't a big fan of the Dark Six, and ever since the Black Abbot incident, she's not too big on adventurers either. Luckily, now that Vecna's followers have started making demands of her, that's all water under the bridge.
• You're sent out to a nearby alleyway to make your way to a nearby Emerald Claw base containing an artefact holy to the Blood of Vol. On the way, you'll have to take on several bands of Hidden Hand followers.
  • You can head East in the room with the fountain to face optional miniboss Giv Chromar.
• Near the end of the alleyway section, the Hidden Hand give up on fighting and just shut a gate on you. Luckily, you can head to a nearby cracked wall, where you fall down into Wererat-infested sewers which lead to a ladder behind the gate.
• After a little more fighting, you meet the Traveler outside the Emerald Claw Warehouse. The Emerald Claw aren't aware you're expected, though, so you'll need to fight your way in – although Lady Vol has asked that you subdue the Emerald Claw defenders. The Traveler offers you an option:
  • No, I'm not going to play nice: You ignore Lady Vol and kill the Emerald Claw in the Warehouse. This is necessary for a Conquest bonus except on Reaper, and you also get the Monster Manual entries for the three Emerald Claw enemies.
  • We'll honor Lady Vol's request: You subdue the Emerald Claw rather than killing them. This gets you the "Incapacitate the Emerald Claw defenders" optional.
• Regardless of your choice, you'll need to pull three levers in the Warehouse and head through a Flesh Render-infested tunnel to a boss fight with a Salamander.
• Finally, talk to the Vessel of Power and select the option starting with "Think back to the words of Lady Vol", then speak to Vol a second time to finish the quest.
